Dr. Ismat AbdelRhman AlBorhan

Dr Ismat currently works as an emergency physician at Mediclinic Al Jowhara Hospital. He obtained his MBBS from Sudan – Alfashir university. Born in a remote area of Sudan, his career started in a small town named Port Sudan. He gained an English medical education and completed his medical internship at a different teaching hospital in Sudan. Dr Ismat joined Médecins Sans Frontières -Spain during the Darfur region of the Sudan war crisis, which provided him with a wealth of knowledge and experience in emergency assistance to victims of armed conflicts epidemics, healthcare exclusions, and natural disasters. His knowledge and expertise in these areas would later serve him well in his role as an Emergency physician. Dr Ismat, eager to learn medicine in all its facets, found that switching to emergency medicine would be a good direction to stay current with all aspects of the medical field. A career in emergency medicine has given him the means to direct his vast knowledge and skills to their full potential. As a result, he started the FRCEM exams journey. Dr Ismat Aborhan holds a Diabetes Diploma - degree from Cardiff University in the UK, besides his Emergency Medicine training. Dr Ismat displayed strong work ethics and professionalism in managing all outpatient-inpatient services, emergencies. Skilful in dealing with emergencies with ease and confidence and having a particular interest in treating, health education and following up with patients with Diabetes Mellitus and Metabolic Syndrome. With his wonderful wife, Marua, he is the father of three children.
